Spurrier (HC) Will Muschamp (DC) and Major Applewhite (OC)

To keep LSU football on top or competing at a high level for the next 15 years the following scenairo would be great IMO.
Steve Spurrier - Head Coach 62 years old.
Let the old ball coach finish out a great career (the next 5-7 years) at LSU. He undoubtedly would recruit very well and keep the talent level high at all times.
Major Applewhite - Offensive Coordinator - 30 years old. Spurrier would be able to take a proven winner in everything realm of the term and groom him for those 5-7 years. Applewhite being from Baton Rouge would be a perfect fit IMO at the age of 37 to possibly take over the reigns.
Will Muschamp - Defensive Coordinator - 37 years old. Will could come back to LSU and hone his skills for a couple of more years and work with outstanding talent and improve his stock on the national scene. He brings that fire and passion to the field that I believe we sometimes miss with the current regime(which I like)
Any thoughts and suggestions?
And of course I do believe we need to do everything in our power to keep our strength and conditioning coach happy and interested in LSU.

I'd rather have Crowton over Applewhite.

why does everyone think Spurrier would come to lsu? we shite on him when we hired curley and left him hanging with no phone call and no one even showed up hince the arse kickings he gave us as pay back. i think we have a better chance of getting mike ditka than spurrier which means zero

this jist is that I don't believe Crowton would stay and I believe that if you give Spurrier 5-7 years with a young up and coming guy that he could turn Applewhite into something very special. The kid has always been a winner in my book in athletics.

I don't know if he would come or not. The point was wouldn't it be nice if he did and could mold a local guy into a great coach for the future. It would also give Spurrier a chance to dominate one more time which isn't going to happen at SC

agree he could dominate and with ease imo i just dont see it happening but if it would that plan would be awesome

Yeah, and Bama would hire him away from us as soon as he showed that he is a winner. The kid was raised a Bammer.

Spurrier Nope
Applewhite Hell No LSU was not good enough for his college playing days so why go after him now?
Muschamp Yes
I hear a lot of names out there but one name I never hear that I would think could do an excellent job is Steve Marriuchi. Has college and NFL experience. Head coach of a team that ran the west coast offense. Ran into a raw deal in Detroit. Thoughts??

So Major has no ties to a school that he grew up in the Shadows of? And to me I would rather work with one of the sharpest offensive minds than Sabans defensive mind. What I do admire about Saban is how he plans out everything.. He is a prick to deal with but his execution and drive is pretty strong.
With his current team his planning will be tested cause the players are about to revolt.

Does he have the desire to first leave the studio and coach kids not professionals?

You never know but he was a pretty good coach. I think everybody that leaves the sidelines before they want to (fired) have a desire to go back and prove their worth. He was an offensive genious and with the talent we have and the knowledge of Crowton, we would be dangerous. Like I said, no mention of his name anywhere.

Spurrier wants out of cockville. He is pissed at administration, and he alredsay has his golf membership at Augusta. He was ready to leave last year. His agent is aleady talking to A & M. He has about 5 years left, and would like another shot at NC. We are in LSU west and are we about to come off Florida rotation.
Good friend of mine ex Florida player and Alum friend of Saban's told me if Satan would have left year earlier he would have taken LSU job as the talet level would give him shot at NC.
Offer and he will come if Miles leaves...
Miles will go if job is offered but it may not be offered.
