No fired by tuesday at the latest, but I suspect around noon monday.

I'm sure he'll be fired formally by Monday or Tuesday. I bet he was fired weeks ago, though, just not publicly. Presumably, that allowed ND to conduct its search in the background and away from a media frenzy.
Once he's fired though, prospective coaches who are in the mix can no longer use the excuse "that job's not even open so I have no comment." They'll be forced to say yes or no at some point.

Oh, and by the way, since Weis was instructed to fly back with the boys from California and not stay to recruit, I'm thinking this thing wraps up pretty quickly.

Read on a coaching site that he's already cleaned out his office. There may be an announcement as soon as today.
