…if Saban left Bama, if Riley left OU, if Day left OSU do you honestly think Mel Tucker would even be mentioned as a possible replacement? Not no but HELL no. LSU is an elite coaching destination. If Woody isn’t swinging for the fences, and we all know he is, Mel Tucker is not even in the top 10 on his list. With this in mind, CFB fans all around the country are saying,” If LSU F’s this HC hire up once again, they deserve everything coming their way”.

Most CFB fans around the country still think O wasn’t given enough time. Screw everybody else Woody is going to get the best man for the job.

I would ask you or anyone else.... why is Mel Tucker even being brought up by the media?

Yes. He would be. He would be considered at Bama because I believe Saban would bring his name up. He would be brought up at OSU because he has ties there. He has ties to LSU and SEC that’s why his name is mentioned in this situation.

I’m not advocating Tucker for the LSU job. But I do believe his name would be mentioned in other “step up” jobs from his current situation.

Now ask yourself would Kiffin be considered for OSU? Or OU?

There’s more to selecting a coach than simply picking the guy you want and throwing a large salary at them. Unfortunately, you’ve got to take the guy you can get. Lots of factors involved in taking a new coaching job other than salary.

I completely agree. I just think Woodward knows how big this hire is and will not mess it up. Whether it is a big fish or not I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

This is true about Tucker. It’s also true about Napier.
