Let's put it this way...maybe we can agree. If, Miles was in fact offered, that means that Patterson is out.
That's basically what I'm saying in a nutshell. I have no personal information. But, from what has been reported on this end, and watching LSU "react" quickly and spontaneously, I have high confidence that it happened. By that logic, Patterson would have to be out unless Miles was actually the first guy on the list.
