No. Once upon a time players couldn’t transfer within the conference unless the school they were leaving approved it. In the 2000’s I believe that was relaxed.
Coaches have done it forever. Bryant, Steve Sloan, Tubs, Dinardo. Vince Dooley accepted the Auburn job in 81 then the infamous back room meeting happened and he stayed at Georgia.

Nutt was a free agent. TT and Mullen, yes. And nobody complained except Ole Miss and Ms State respectively.
