If the contract isn't signed and only a verbal deal has been reached between JH and UM, then the NFL is still in play.

Schefter also came out with the report that Jim's heart was in the NFL, but everyone around him was pressuring him into the Michigan job.

Yeah, verbal agreements are pretty much worth about as much as the paper they're written on.

I think Harbaugh ends up in Ann Arbor. But it wouldn't much surprise me if he didn't, either.

What is the theory on Chavis not signed from the contract language standpoint?

His current contract has language that says he can leave if Miles goes? or he wants that language added?

Nah man, I honestly don't care who is right. Harbaugh doesn't bother me and I don't mind him at Michigan, a team I don't really have any disdain for.

But the Michigan fans guffawing at national media saying hold the phone on local media reports is sad, IMO.
