Saban was the third choice in 2000

He worked out great needless to say but Denis Erickson sad no and someone else (cannot recall who) was before Saban. Took Bama 6, 6 different coaches from NC Stallings to Saban. Bottom line- you never know.

Dirk Koetter was right at the top in 2004 Alot of people dont know that.

Not really.
They were going after Tuberville when Sexton told LSU Saban may be interested. It was always Saban after Emmert met with him.
