People don't realize, but Texas is loaded for a run next year. There are like 3-4 seniors in that entire 2 deep, and outside of RB Foreman, no other guy has a legit NFL shot if he leaves early. That team is taking their lumps like Washington had to last year. The only game Texas has lost this year that wasn't close, was the Okie St game. Every other game was lost by 7 points or less.
If Herman comes there, he will win immediately. Beuchele is already getting experience (think Jake Browning of Washington), plus they bring in this dual threat beast next year that is similar to Taysom Hill before all the injuries. All the WRs but one return, most of the OL, and if y'all haven't seen Chris Warren, he's pretty much D'Onta Foreman. Hell, Foreman might just come back because of the brother connection. Then they bring back their top 9 tacklers and top 6 sack guys.

I realize we're losing a lot from this team, but we're pretty damn loaded at just about every position even with all the guys we stand to lose. I'll take our roster for next year against Texas's all day

I'm not comparing rosters, just saying next year Texas is ready for a run, and Herman will benefit immediately from all the dirty work Strong did in 3 years.

Did you see the difference in Auburn on defense from last year to this year, or LSU? Auburn was 71st in total defense and 54th in scoring defense in 2015. In 2016 with the guy that made our defense suck, they are 18th in total defense and 7th in scoring defense.
Plus, all you need is just enough defense in the Big 12.

Dude has completed 62.5% of his passes for 2740 yards 21 and 10 ints (20 TDs to 7 ints before this last game). He also has another 150 rush yards and 2 TDs. This guy is going to be another Baker Mayfield.

I still think we hire Herman. Herman's offense would kill with the talent currently on the roster.
His connection with Aranda would keep him in place which is the real caveat that everyone knows to be most critical piece.
It just makes since to go after him. Maybe with his offense and Aranda's D we have the recipe. Who knows maybe they decide to work together for a few years and go for it.

I think LSU has made offer to Herman There been a few post of Herman and his wife sighted at Baton Rouge airport late last week. Post was taken down immediately. There something goning on there. Just my opinion.
