I would not be surprised IF this is true and I actually expect that he be asked by SW about his interest in the LSU job.

I don’t want him honestly when you barely beat Tulane and get shut out by Kansas in the first half and barely win you’re not fit out to be the coach at LSU

He won't accept. Way to much time left in the college season to worry about and his team can make the playoff.

It's not just a money thing it's timing as well

Maybe he knows his team this year would lose by 80 against a playoff team and has a great chance to lose to a shitty B12 team in their remaining games. They've looked pretty damn bad most of the year.

There is one thing that differentiates Riley from the rest of the pack. He was 33 and running a major CFB program, the only other candidate that was in a similar situation was Kiffin. Kiffin was too immature to handle the moment, and had to go to Saban rehab. Now, Riley has accomplished a lot but he’s also been getting better as a coach, his defenses are better, he’s killing it in recruiting, and made what seems like the move of the year by putting Caleb Williams in as QB. Riley’s trajectory is out of this world. That’s what needs to be evaluated in this coaching hire.

Answer the two people who asked you who you would want over Riley. You make an absurd claim at least back it up with a name.

There’s honestly nobody I’m crazy about. Is that a good answer for you. I think there are several coaches that can win in Baton Rouge but nobody that jumps off the page.

If someone put a gun to my head and said choose right now I think rolling the dice w Fickel or Napier!

I think Riley is clueless about defense amd he’s never been able to recruit a strong defensive class in Norman so that’s a huge red flag for me

So many people are outing themselves as lacking any football knowledge at all.

Riley would be an enormous success at LSU. He will have the best offense in the sec and now be front of the line (or near) for the best players in Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and Georgia

For example. Oklahoma has zero kids from Louisiana, a top producer of college and NFL talent. Of it's roster, only 30% is from the state of Oklahoma. LSU is around 70% from Louisiana and still pulls good numbers from Tx, Florida, and Georgia

The "he gets blown out in the playoffs" argument is dumb and ill informed. 70% of his roster is out of state. At LSU, he'd get that better talent in state and get to players from it of state to fill the rest.
