I think in terms of keeping the guys that we want to keep (Haley, Cooper, Chavis, Wilson, and Gonzales) this would be the best hire. Bring in a great offensive mind that would want to keep this staff together

I've always wanted someone with head coaching experience, but I like Malzahn for this reason. The coaching staff we have now is as good as any (save Crowton and Stud). Malzahn would probably be willing to keep these guys.

I like him a helluva lot more than Tubberville.

If Les Miles takes the Michigan job, as I feel he will, I hear Nebraska’s Bo Pelini and Texas Tech’s Tommy Tuberville will be trying to get the LSU job. But LSU may look at Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn as well.
That all sounds bad to me

Tubberville=

Pellini=

Malzhan, for some reason that I really can't explain=

No head coaching experience I don't like, but all that I know from what I've seen and talking to people that played for him, makes not hate that idea as much. I also don't like the spread as if you don't have that super star QB it doesn't seem to be as effective, but I guess you can say that about any offense.

I still hope Les tell UM to eat his purple and gold arse.

he seems pretty polarizing on this board. people either really like it, or absolutely hate the idea
