Remember that the playoff is expanding to 12 teams

A 10-2 LSU team gets in most of the time. Get a coach with a brain that can take LSUs talent and then out-scheme the coaching staffs in 50% of the games against the big 6 in the SEC, and LSU is in the playoff. Being alive for the playoff will make each season exciting for the fanbase. Remember also that a 10-2 LSU program with an occasional 9-3 and occasional 11-1 season recruits itself.
