what balderdash.
gruden is mentioned for every SEC HC job that arrises. NFL also. and every time people say "this is different". maybe this time it is. and Harbaugh's and Grudens situation are not identical. Harbaugh was out of a job and frankly y'all overpaid like crazy. but you got saban a raise.

maybe he will go into college with a better understanding of why a simpler offense is better
I know I have seen him talk about how much he admires the no-huddle spread.
If he goes back to college, he's probably not bringing the WCO with him.
Still a longshot for any college job, IMO, but he certainly paid attention to what's happening with college offenses...

Harbaugh has had recent success at a college program, turning Stanford into a power for a short time. Gruden hasn’t coached college as a head coach ever and his last time he was on a universitiy’s sideline as a coach was 1991.

I think you could include Kelly with those 2 as coaches that everyone thinks are not realistic hires. I get the idea of fans wanting Harbaugh and Kelly because they were great head coaches in college then failed in the NFL . But Gruden hasn’t been a college head coach and couldn’t develop a QB while at the Bucs.

hey ohio vol........here ya go.. just what you stated. lol
gruden built the raider team he defeated in the SB. fruden had a winning record as a pro coach which is not easy. to think he is a shite coach shows you don't know jack shite about football at any level

Harbaugh is a UM alum, though. What's Grudens connection to UT?

He has 0 connections to VOLS. Good detective work.

GA under Johnny Majors, met his wife at Tennessee (was a cheerleader), his son is on the powerlifting team and is a current student. Keeps Vols gear in all of his offices, wears Tennessee gear when he's not at work.
But no, there's no connection, none at all. Can't imagine where the idea of Gruden came from, honestly.
I mean, it's not like he's been to 3 home games this year, and sat in the stands for one of them, and wore Tennessee gear on the sidelines at the Outback bowl, and petitioned for him and Tirico to call that game, or anything of that sort.
No connection, none whatsoever, this Gruden nonsense is just baffling. He's practically never been inside the state of Tennessee, when you think about it.
Maybe some Vol fan heard him order Hennessey at a bar in an airport once, and since Hennessey rhymes with Tennessee, that's where all this started.
ARE YOU PICKING UP WHAT THE frick I'M PUTTING DOWN????

I'm simply asking is there a connection?

I did not say Gruden was a shite coach. I'm just saying he isn't some Slam Dunk hire that you are making him out to be
And I've probably forgotten more about football than you know.
What is Grudens area of expertise? Is he still gonna run the West Coast offense?
