I think the ignorant one is you sir. Chavis had a problem with his tenure being tied to Miles being there so you don't think others would as well? The DC is his own boss? Are you serious Clark? Normally I would agree to take your time making this decision but I our case we needn't haste. There are viable candidates available and we're missing on them and I believe it's more because they don't want to be associated with Miles than anything. Sad but true.

IMHO, Coach Miles will have more than "gone in a year or two" to rebuild this program and break in a new DC.

The contract being tied to Miles' tenure is an economic one coming from JA, as he doesn't want to pay TOP DOLLAR to have an employee sit at home because there is NO GUARANTEE that whoever replaces CLM would want to retain JC on his staff. Lane Kiffen certainly did not retain him at UT.
It really, isn't because no one want to be associated with CLM, its because they want a guaranteed contract in case they are not retained.
And yes, I am serious about the DC position at LSU practically "being their own boss". Miles' background is from the offense, so he dabbles very little in the defense. Saban was just the opposite, and gave Jimbo virtually free reign to operate under the umbrella of his overall game philosophy.

Why is that funny? You don't think that Chavis leaving had a lot to do with his contract terms?
