Realistically, I only see 2 real candidates right now

Jimbo Fischer and Dan Mullen (I think Fuentes, Orgeron and Hudspeth get interviews FWIW).

those are my top 2 choices. I'd support Scott Frost as well, and possibly Fuentes.

Orgeron better stay on staff

Fish will just use for a raise IMO, Mullen knows he may not get another Dak @ MS but expectations are different. Depends on his mindset.
Fuentes is risk-reward. If we go gamble route might as well promote Ogre to DC and Frank to ST and if it hits the fan cupboard should still be stocked.

he is our greatest asset. he can be the associate HC and/or DC. whatever it takes to keep him here at his dream school.

I like Mike Leach if others are off the table. Only bad thing is he is 54. Guy can get production out of a QB.

I'm more likely to be the next coach of LSU than Jimbo Fisher is.

I don't really see Fisher as a real candidate. Would just be a lateral move. Mullen is a much more realistic prospect. Plus just seems like a much safer pick who still has a lot of upside.

Top 2 choices for me now. Fuente would be next.
QBs under each
Jimbo -
Craig
Davey
Mauck
Russell
Flynn (only started 1 game for him, but was coach by him for 4 years)
Ponder
Manuel
Winston
Mullen -
Josh Harris
Alex Smith
Brian Johnson (didn't play for him but recruited and coached him). This guy is the QB coach for Dan Mullen now.
Chris Leak
Tim Tebow
Cam Newton (didn't play for him, but recruited and coached him)
Dak Prescott
Feunte -
Andy Dalton
Casey Pachall (his one good year)
Paxton Lynch
Feunte would need the most recruiting help, but the other guys have recruited in SEC country for a long time.

I think Fisher uses LSU to get a raise, TBH. I'm not big in Mullen, Orgeron I really dont know.
It'll be interesting to see if they go big names only or if they consider some of these young guys that could be at LSU for a real long time.

It's a lateral move yes and no. While he has a lot of job security coaching in the ACC as of right now, I think he'd most likely have more resources at LSU, I know he could pay his assistants better for sure

Scott Frost looks like a Ron Zook @ UF waiting to happen...

So were going to pay all of that buyout money for a guy who has always lost multiple games each year? He's a west coast guy as well.

I'd say half of it is because of his experience playing all over the field in both College and the NFL. He's also coached different sides of the ball and then went to Oregon was a part of Mariota, etc. He'd probably be a guy to get in the system, I don't really know if I'd be comfortable handing him the reins though.
The other half is how ridiculously jacked he is and how hilarious it would look when he met Saban at midfield.
