Mac's wins come against teams with losing records. His staff is average at best and he's had 1 one full class of middle of the pack sec recruiting with another on the way. With his bad recruiting on defense and the hard schedule we'll be lucky to win 6 games next year.

but let's not act like he's run the program into the ground or anything.

2 losses that title year counting the title game which is kinda BS to count in a way.

4 losses last year. 3 already this year. The trend line is not looking good as he moves to his players and program.

Don't mean to change the subject, but I've heard about this dynamic in Alabama, where some fans of Alabama graduate from Auburn, and continue to remain loyal to Bama, and vice versa. Is that prevalent among FSU and UF folks?

Normally, I would not either. However, in this instance, Lynn Swann did not make the hire.

I don't see Swann being patient with his predecessor's hire.

USC will win 8-9 games this year, they aren't going to fire Helton. Sam Darnold is the better QB and this team needed time to work everything out.

Oregon and Florida aren't dropping their coaches.

I will say that Strong could be gone even with an 8-5 record and a young team because the brass at Texas are idiots.

Have degrees from both schools...which is pretty damn common here. Don't think the dynamic is the same, though. People in Alabama tend to be more into football

Exactly. And with how much money that program has, you've got to think they want to join the Herman/Peterson/Shaw/Briles sweepstakes
