I've been away from the board most of the day & it's been a busy day on here so I think I've missed something. I keep seeing posts & topics about Aranda probably leaving. What news have I missed?

Just people jumping to conclusions that he will follow Herman to UT. That would be a bad move for his career. Big 12 is an offensive conference with no d being played. Hell Muschamps defenses gave up a lot of points there.

Nothing. Speculation because he's so damn good at his job and we're going through a coaching change. Any coach who would not try to retain this guy is a damn fool and doesn't deserve to be a head coach.

Yet it had no damaging effects on Muschamp being handed a job at a top program.
He failed at it, but his reputation was no worse for wear for calling defense in the Big 12.

True but not sure he has the prestige Muschamp had at that time. He was supposedly coach in waiting at UT. Aranda will get there but he isn't there yet.
