I'm sure some PSU decision makers won't want to pay the $$ Saban would demand. Not because they don't have it, but because it would only fuel the impression that football trumps everything else at PSU. PSU can't draw the attention of buying a Mercedes, they need a Honda Accord (Mullins).

there's absolutely no reason for Saban to go to PSU.
None.

Richt is a pretty good coach. He's had a couple of bad years. But also some outstanding ones where things didn't break his way as far as playin for the big one, He ain't Saban or Meyer, but his overall record and longevity are credible.
People say he 'underachieves' based on available talent, but look at uga football history. He has achieved WAY more than his predecessors barring only the three year period fueled by arguably the greatest player in cfb history.
Richt really IS a good dude. I don't go for all that outward religious shite, but he really does put his money where his mouth is.
Richt may be a little lax on his kids, but overall the kind of repeated infractions seen at uga are commonplace across the sec. Basically comes with trying to control 80+ testosterone-fueled, knuckle-headed premadonnas.
