"He is a great recruiter. take a look at dbs from osu that went to nfl. Good move. Class act who deserves to b a dc."

I'm underwhelmed by the hire because I was hopeful we'd get someone with DC experience. But, I suppose, it's better to have an unknown guy who MIGHT end up being good than to stick with WR or hire Nix.

Nix was a hot name 2 years ago before Nutt depleted his team of players. It's hard to base anything off what Nix had available the last 2 years

He's being hired for a job he's never done in any capacity at any level. That makes him an unknown at DC. If we hired him to be a DB coach, I'd be ecstatic.
As it is now, he's got potential. But he, most definitely, is an unknown.

Bringing anybody in is an unknown quite frankly. But he was at OSU. If he can co-DC there I have a feeling he has what it takes.

Bringing in Shannon wouldn't have been an unknown. We KNOW he's been successful as a DC. Bringing in Nix wouldn't have been an unknown. We KNOW he's sucked as a DC.
Bringing in Haynes is an unknown. No one knows how he'll do as a DC because he's never done it before on his own.
