LSU did fine up to this point without Orgeron. NO WAY he's worth paying more than a DC. That's trouble waiting to happen. This guy has always had a chip on his shoulder when it came to LSU. This stinks and you can smell it all the way from Lafayette. I couldn't understand the whole "Orgeron" craze to begin with. Let's move on and forget this money crazed a--hole who was a miserable failure as a HC.

And apparently a pretty big success as a college defensive line coach.

I think he is a recruiting violation waiting to happen. I don't understand the obsession with Orgeron. The guy was lampooned on here mercilessly as a buffoon when he was in Oxford and I don't think the chemistry between him and Chavis would have been very good. I think it is a blessing in disguise.

Who the hell here controls LSU's checkbook?

Tenn is paying Monte 1M and O 750K. Tenn can afford it because boosters probably stepped up to the plate.

It looks like we got TENN leftovers with Chavis.

Yeah, cause in 15 or so years of him coaching college football, the violations have just piled up because of him.

LSU will be fine, but he would have been a good hire.

I personally think Hambone is spending some of that ESPN money.

Whether he's received yet or not.

He was lampooned because that joke of a football program was trying to pass off a defensive line coach as its head coach.
