is we have to wait till his team losses in the playoffs .that might be way too late to get in on recruiting.

Negative #2

He is a USC Graduate, former Player. If Pete Carroll leaves USC for the Pro's, Retires, whatever..have we put ourselves back another "Momma's calling" situation again?

Both of these "negatives" have been discussed on this board to ad nauseam and debunked...in my opinion!

How can they be debunked?? We just don't know. What we do know is he was a LB'er at USC, and he's never recruited.

Keep in mind, I'm not puting the guy down, have no idea what he might do on the college level.

You're right...We don't "know"...at least I don't!

But, not everyone is Les and dreams of coaching where they played ball. Word on JDR "seems" to be that he loves LSU, considers it his "dream job", hasn't lived in California in 20 years...hates it, and has no desire to.

As for recruiting, look at his playing and coaching career with the NFL...(This is what appeals to the 4 and 5 star athletes..making it to the next level). It's not had to imagine how he could be very successful...
