One thing that may be holding Miles....

I would have a hard time believing that anyone who actually coached the young players we saw last night would leave a team that stacked to go home and try to build a shite cupboard for about the same money.

Miles would be pretty much walking away from a strong chance to win a national championship next year here to who knows when at Michigan.

That takes some thinking.

Not to mention Michigan fanbase will be just as hostile if not more with the shitty years they've had recently. They're a proud fanbase/program and they're going to want immediate impact, even if it isn't realistic.

Miles is going nowhere. He is using it for leverage. He has LSU by the balls. It is harder to go out for a homerun hire this late and potential recruiting class falling apart. Not to mention the potential of more assistant searches...

It is a pure win situation for Miles and he can hold LSU hostage if need be.

Or maybe he would take pride in being an OC for Pelini after having been run off from Michigan for not being able to rebuild the winningist college football program in history to the stature they are looking for in a timely manner. He surely wouldn't take pride in walking away from roughly 18mil in a "prepared" for the future BR only to be given 3 years to fail at bringing back a just plain bare Michigan program and to wind up making 750k/yr as a coordinator... again. RR was one of the most popular guys on the planet 3 yrs ago. I don't care how poorly coached you are, to give up the points they did this year means you have entirely too much LOFT. Lack of fricking talent!
