On Les Leaving LSU for UM

On one side you have "Michigan" and Bo Schembechler and a looooooong row to hoe in getting UM back to competing in the Big 10, much less the nation, and with a very anxious fan base that expects miraculous success and RIGHT NOW.
And on the other side you have:
1) 4 Million Dollars a Year
2) A Consistent winner and competitor for the top spot in the SEC and Nation in LSU.
3) Another top 10 recruiting class.
4) A team that will be competing for the NC over the next couple of years without a doubt.
4) You coach at one of the top schools in the country, and in the top conference in the country.
5) You're 58, can coach for five to ten more years, build your legacy in an area ripe with talent to help you, and then retire if you like, ALSO in an area of the country which is much more of a retirement area than is Ann Arbor Michigan by a long stretch.
6) Your kids are both in school and settled.
7) You're about 1 or 2 National Championships away from being THE LSU LEGENDARY COACH where when people mention LSU, Les Miles is the picture that comes into their heads for years to come.
Am I missing something?

Miles has a want for a challenge. UM would be a huge challenge. He's already proved he could win a championship. Now he wants to prove he can resurrect a dead program. May be gone.

The only intangible that you can't figure in is his loyalty to Michigan IMO. Heck, taking over SMU and bringing them back to a national powerhouse would be a challenge, but I think it's about Michigan if anything. Still, I honestly can't see how Les Miles could even think about such a crazy move that could quite easily lead him to failure and a footnote in history.
And besides.... UM has said that they want a defensive minded coach. Les is ANYTHING but that.
