The only thing OM is guilty of is exposing shite coaches. If youre a good coach you will succeed at OM.

Ok, that's beyond retarded. So you're saying they haven't made a good coaching hire in 30-40 years. If that's what you guys are trying to do, then congrats on the great success.

Tubberville was a GREAT hire.

He made us very competitive with the rest of the league and only had 55 scholarships to work with and an AD working against him.

Cut was hired for Eli.
O was hired to save money(only payed him 900k/year)
Nutt looked to be a great hire at first....but his loyalty to his coach buddies killed him(kinda like Cut).

Do you even know what point you're trying to argue? It doesn't seem like it.

My original post in this thread: The Ole Miss job is where head coaches go to die. It's a HC graveyard. Which is why some people feel that Fedora didn't want it. It's bad for business to have 2 win seasons on your resume.

When's the last time an Ole Miss head coach left for a promotion? Seriously, I don't know. Tuberville was out of work for a while if I remember correctly.

I know what you said.......but it's just simply not true.

Tubbs was very successful post OM
Cut is still a HC
O was a DLine coach pre-OM and is current a DC at his original school.
Nutt is killed.

No. Tubbs left overnight from Oxford to Auburn.

Nothing like someone arguing a point that literally has no clue. Not flaming the guy....just pointing out that the guy has literally no idea about anything in the subject matter.

One of two things are going to happen. He's either going to get fired in 3 years and we will be in a deeper hole than we are now, or he will be awesome and never leave.

So, I guess Tuberville is the answer. And to the guy claiming O leaving for an assistant/recruiting coordinator gig at USC is a promotion, . Come on man.

Freeze will make a good coach eventually. I just really hope its soon.

And I agree with you on the "winning at ASU" bit.

I'm not sure if it is physically possible to lose Nutt, Nix, Sowell, and Enricky and get worse.

I don't think anyone said O leaving for USC was a "promotion".

He left USC as a DLine coach and recruiting coordinator. We payed him no more than 900k a year as a HC.

He's probably making that or at least close to that much at USC as a DC. Considering how Ole Miss was thought of in 2007, I'd say that was a lateral decision.

To be a "grave yard", that pretty much means your career is dead. Cutcliff is still a HC at a BCS school. I'd say his career isn't dead. He just sucks.

once again......you're clueless about this topic....obviously.

Thanks man.

I've started to calm down about this hire. When I first heard about it I was infuriated, and still I am not exactly thrilled. But the more I look at his track record, the more optimistic I become. The one good thing about this is that if he is successful here, I don't think we'll have to worry about him leaving because he is an Ole Miss guy.

Seriously, who was the last coach to win an SEC title at OM? It's a bad job. Nutt overachieved for a few years, and sputtered out. O was mildly retarded. All Cutcliffe did was recruit Eli. Tubbs didn't win shite.
