What do you see in the future of Tulane football? (seriously)
Toledo is doing an OK job but we need a young coach with a chip on his shoulder to revitalize this program. IMO
Any names you see heading down to New Orleans next year?

A school like Tulane needs a young coach looking to move up the ranks, rather than an old coach in the twilight of his career.
If I were the AD at a school like Tulane or ULM, I would want a guy that his major goal is to get the hell out of there. He can't accomplish that goal without being successful. When he leaves, hire someone else with that same goal.

How come people talk about memphis, USM, UAB for the Big East but not Tulane? Would that help the program?

Tulane in ANY conference would embarass itself.
At least Duke and Baylor and Vandy have some sort of commitment from the administrations to be competitive at the FBS level....Tulane has ZERO of what you need for a successful conference member...
zero alumni support
zero student support
a huge arse stadium that is 1/4 filled or a high school stadium
Tulane needs to drop down to FCS and be happy with that...

We need a report from Sidis.
But I don't think that will happen anytime soon.
Nevertheless, I remain hopeful.

I am a LSU fan and would hate to see this happen to Tulane athletics, but football has to drop down to I-AA (or whatever it is called now). It would be on par with the Ivy League schools in playing in the I-AA football conferences, but still could particpate in I-A for basketball and baseball.

I honestly see Tulane football folding. From what I've heard, they are broke. I think they are seeing if Toledo can do anything at all, and if not, calling it quits.
