im not saying CC is freakin crowton, just that it isnt a guarantee that your system will work at the college level. a lot of times nfl guys expect too much and try to make the O too complicated for a college player. its one of the reasons i did not want Gruden if Les had left, he is notoriously hard on qbs in the nfl... how would that work in college?

crowton never, and i mean never, had sustained success

Cameron has been an elite NFL OC since 2002

there is 1 example of this really, and that's bill callahan at nebraska

and that was a west coast offense, which is notoriously hard to learn

Please no. Cam Cameron is awful! He made less out of more than Crowton did this year! Watching the Ravens offense this year was almost as bad as watching LSU. He put on a good show against the Saints but that was his best called game of the season.

Alright true, little bit of a hyperbole going on there.

The Ravens have outstanding skill position players and a decent QB. Sure Flacco has his issues but he can still sling the ball around. The Ravens offense has been lost in the limbo of no identity all year. He never gave his offense an identity. The Raven best offensive game was against the Saints. He built the game plan around Rice and expanded the offense around that. But then Rice vanishes off again into just another one of the great skill position players the Ravens have after that game. It was just frustrating watching the Raven all year have so much offensive potential and never seeing it pan out.

the ravens have a great RB in rice and a group of WRs who were elite 4 years ago. heap is a shell of his former self also

plus, their OL is average

the ravens don't have shite for skill positions, but they're not an elite group. they also lack a deep threat in the WR corps

For those who would like Miles to keep from meddling in the offensive play calling (and I'm one of those), Cameron would definitely have free rein to run his show.

Any collegiate choice runs the risk of having Miles get veto power during games.

Do you remember when the USC Trojan faithful were whining about pete carrol....they were saying a lot of the same crap that you are saying now...

we all know how that turned out....

your argument is that since pete carrol, maybe the greatest college recruiter, was successful at the easiest place on earth to recruit to, therefor CC will be a success at LSU?

huh?

I guess no one thought Monty Kiffon would take a great NFL defensive scheme to college either.....regaurdless of his troublemaking kid was the head coach. He took a paycut to go to college

look what was the ravens rank in O this year? 15th or so? that makes sense when you look at their personnel.
good not great at qb, wr, and oline. very good at RB. so an average OC should get that kind of offensive talent to around 10-16 ish in the league.
now throw in how good the ravens D is and it seems to me an "elite" OC as he has been called on here, should get the ravens in the top 5-9 ish range.

i wouldnt be heart broken if CC was named the OC, certainly he would be an improvement over crowterd. CC just wouldnt my first choice and I havent seen anything to change that opinion.

based on the current talent make up of our team: Fuente or Chryst

Fuente 1st probably depending on how much of the offense at TCU is really his.

Both are/can coach the QB. Both show a true commitment to run the ball.

a good defense creates turnovers and forces 3 n outs to put the offense in a good position. offense gets the ball more often and in better field position than a team with a bad defense.
