No Worries Moving Forward

For the better part of the last 20 years, the hiring of OC and DC at LSU has given me ulcers with a few notable exceptions. However, with CBK at the helm, I have absolutely no concern whatsoever about his staff decisions. We are in good hands, and we can just sit back and enjoy the ride!

I agree. A post on the Bama boards says it best for me:
Saban 34-24-1
Miles 28-21
Coach O 16-27
These are the records of LSU’s last 3 coaches at the time the were hired (and they each won championships at LSU).
Brian Kelly comes in with a resume of
263-96-2
The cupboard is not bare. They beat A&M with an offense and secondary of nearly all frosh and sophs. They played Bama down to the wire. BK is a very good coach!
LSU Main problem was their O-Line. That is never ND’s problem under Kelly. He is much better at developing players than O or Miles.
He is better organized and detail oriented than Coach O.
While his teams are mostly ground and pound, he wanted to run some spread concept at ND but didn’t have the personnel. That won’t be a problem at LSU. He will have speed all over the field with the starters as well as backups. He will succeed at LSU just like everywhere else he has as been.
I was at the LSU vs UCLA game this year. It was like the coaches’ game plan was: we have better players than you, so we don’t have to do anything special to win.
Offense:
No motion no crossing patterns, no outside runs, no jet sweeps, etc. The defense wasn’t prepared for WRs in motion as well as crossing routes. Nothing changed for 6 games. With BK, LSU fans won’t have to suffer through that again.
