Not trying to start shite, but was genuinely curious as to why lsu did not look harder at Nix. Ole Miss' D looked pretty good today against the almighty TT O. Tech had some points off turnovers but ole miss coverage was good and qb pressure was really good.

Les didn't know the cotton bowl had switched dates before he made his hire. Live and learn

But Spurrier fired him last year. I think he is a good coach but there are a lot of them out there and we are about to hire a solid one.

I never really got the full story behind the spurrier firing. I think there was more than what meets the eye. He had a great first year and a not so great 2nd year. But still 2 yrs isn't enough to judge. It's not like he walked into a situation where there was a surplus of talent.

They looked good today, but they have been one of the worst secondaries in the SEC all season. They were 11th going into the bowls. We were 12th, fwiw. Considering that is a big need for us, I'm sure that and the SC "get out the door" didn't help him.

I have always been a huge fan of nix and believe he is a great dc. With being said after thinking about not only is Chavis a good dc he is a better fit philosophy wise.

I don't either. I just hope it doesn't cost us like it did last year and this year.

anytime a coach leaves a university and says "it was just time for a change." leaves a bad taste in your mouth. i mean, when is his next "time for a change" feeling going to occur?
