Fisher offered 6.5 mil a year with 500K raise for SEC Championship and 1 mil for making CFP title game from LSU, was just updated via phone call by my source

This was counter offer due to FSU upping the ante, alot of chatter going in now, FSU folks in their AD starting to worry Fisher may not be back

Your posts have been some of the most consistent and reasonable I've seen on the situation. Pretty much knew it wasn't a done deal yet and negotiations would be made.

Sorry but don't see how thats the counter to the counter. Feel like LSU would have had to offer 6 from the get. Split the difference to say the counter was 6.25... an extra 250k really going to be enough?

Yes, 6.5 but this was our counter offer, all depends on FSU if they counter offer again, Havent received any info if this is as high as we will bid for Fisher

I really think he wants out of there with all of that mess and he just wanted to get the best payday possible because they know we're in a tough spot. Hopefully this will seal the deal.

So a 1.5 million dollar raise for just making the playoffs?? Need an SEC championship to make playoffs 90% of the time...... I'm calling bull shite......and if he doesn't take that he's fricking stupid. He could easily do that next year with our talent and the SEC as a whole losing a ton of talent.
