He should be offered first he has a track record that we can see. And it doesn’t matter what school you coach at you play against your competition of your conference it’s all relative. He’s been very successful and I would not have a problem with Napier as head coach. Nor would I have a problem with aranda as headcoach but my preference would be Napier over Aranda

The dude is arrogant enough to keep calling plays on offense even though they pretty mediocre on offense.

He calls plays to benefit the team not just the offense. If the defense needs a break you’re going to see them grind it out for 7-10 minutes on the ground burning clock. They’re going to score when they need to score but they’re not going to risk burning out their defense to do it.

It’s what elite coaches do. It’s what Lincoln Riley hasn’t learned to do yet.

At least with Lincoln the guy is actually good at calling an offense and Dave is good at calling a defense.

And speaking of, wonder why Oklahoma’s defense is perpetually piss poor? Watch Aranda’s offense with Grimes and how they control the ball. It’s total team play vs a high flying air raid offense that is boom or bust.

3.) He's more proven than Napier in his shorter tenure at Baylor

He hasn't proven he can recruit. With Napier your getting the kind of coach who has personality to recruit, with Aranda, not so much. That may be the reason why they have Napier before Aranda.

P5 Track Record and Wins >>>>>>>>>>> G5 Track Record and Wins. It’s not debatable or even close to being so.

VA Tech hit a supposed home run when they hired Fuente away from Memphis in 2016. He was just fired a few days ago. There are NO sure thing hires moving from G5 to P5.

This is something that constantly gets said on here yet it's not true with his time at LSU. He got several big time recruits here and even got some 3* that he turned into stars. Reputation recruits itself and LSU has no problem recruiting itself. Anyone can recruit here. This negative on Aranda is way overplayed on this board because it simply is not true.

100% agreed.

And there aren't many intra-P5 moves that are sure deals. Hiring a HC is a tricky business.
