My 2 cents...

Whomever we hire... I'd like for the defensive coordinator to not caoch a set postion, allowing for the hiring of another stud position coach/ recruiter. Like if we hire Chavis, have him head up the defense but let someone like Willis come in and coach the LBers, O the DL, Raymond the safeties, and either keep Mallory at DB(dont kill me on this one, just think about it) or bring in a young gun here that can recruit like hell... Think about it, we went through this year with 1 less overall coach on defense.

We're only allowed 9 asst coaches. If we added a LB coach, which position coach would you eliminate?

only when 1 of the DB coaches was also the special teams coach...

the special teams coach... and have one of the DB coaches take over that role as well, or the defensive coordinator if he has the resume for it

We tried that the first 3 years under Miles and we sucked on special teams. That's why we went out and hired a ST coach last year.
Then again, maybe we sucked at ST because Peveto was coaching it.
