Kelly left Cincinatti, Edsel left UCONN, RichRod left WVU...all supposedly easier roads to the BCS for bigger football programs. These guys had all the same reasons to stay that Patterson supposedly has.
You left out Dan Hawkins. How successful have any of them been following those moves?

Coaches off the top of my head that I could see as candidates

1) Gruden-unlikely..i want badly but probably won't happen
2) Patterson- unlikely bc he loves TCU and with him just getting into a BCS conferance he will be satisfied with dominating the Big East for now
3) Jimbo- wishful thinking
4) Mullen- I think there is a chance
5) Pelini- I'm not trying to hear this, frick all that noise
6) Hoke- not proven to me ( but my opinion doesnt matter)

Dan Hawkins didn't leave the Big East. I understand your question, but that is more of a question for LSU to worry about. I would imagine he thinks he will suceed, even at a bigger program. If he doesn't, then I don't want anything to do with him. Sometimes, I wonder if he does.

Mullen is laughable, good for builging program and will manage these programs well. We had better turn this program over to a mercedes and not a chevrolet....

He isn't going to win a NC at TCU. You are a fool if you believe such a thing.

As I posted before, TCU was a loss from AU or Oregon away from playing in the MNC tomorrow night.

Just b/c those other guys left for bigger schools doesn't mean Patterson will. RR was dumb to leave. He was very close to playing for a MNC. His ego got in the way of his reason to leave. Kelly is in the same boat. Being in the BE, he gave up a chance to be a consistant player for BCS bowls b/c of the weakness of the BE. Ego was his problem as well. Patterson seems to be a little more stable than these clowns.

Edsall shouldn't even be in this discussion. He's done a great job at UCONN. But to compare talent level and recruiting base to TCU is ridiculous.

Mullen is a loose cannon. No thank you.

Patterson isn't leaving.

Next question?

Les Miles agent is George Bass, who is also the agent for Gary Patterson.
