Patterson just signed till 2018... I just dont see why he would leave after making that commitment.

The UF reports are not verified in either direction

I'm really not convinced Mullen would come.If he really turned down UF why would he come here?

Where are people getting this from? It's not even remotely believable.

Patterson - I would make him say no and if so he would regret it for the rest of his coaching career.

With his success at TCU and relationship he has with Tex high schools I think he could make alot of sense as a hire.

Patterson is the way to go.

He's a defensive guy - so entice him with the prospect of having the greatest D to ever play the game of CFB.

Steve Sarkisian is my choice.

Also I hope he would bring his DC Nick Holt.

If Malzan (sp?) then we have to keep Chavis for defensive continuity.

wasn't making one! just curious. I'd hardly say he is proven though. Two years at state and I know for sure one bowl...can't remember first year.

one thing is for sure, if he lands Cam and wins 9 or more this year then everyone is trying to hire him.

2 years at State is enough IMO

If Patterson, we will soon forget Chavis as DC.

I don't know how things will play out, but if Les leaves I'll be disappointed to learn if Alleva doesn't do his best to hire Patterson.

I agree but if Patterson declines do you think we'll even hear about Alleva contacting him? I'm sure he'll want to act as if the guy hired is "his" guy and won't want to say that we wanted someone else but had to settle. I just don't think that route would be good when you just hire someone.

So while I agree, I question whether we'll even hear about what all went down.

Jimbo? U have lost your mind!

I havent forgiven him for 2006.

My two picks would be Leach or Patterson. Make Patterson say no, then go get Leach. He'd probably do it for minimum wage anyway.

But really, I dont see Les leaving and I'm still not even convinced Crowton is going this year.

Geauxdaddy, the difference between Mullen and Hallman is that Brett FarVe made Hallman what Joe Dean thought he was, Mullen on the other hand has not had such an outstanding player at MSU. Very good players who have been coached up but Farve made Hallman.Sorry, i now see that someone already beat me to the punch, my Bad.

Jimbo is a better recruiter than Leach and one of the best in the country. He gave FSU a ten win season this year. He knows how to run the program, has been at LSU, and would be a very good hire here. He would win I believe. Leach wouldn't be a good hire.

LSU's all time winningest coaches....Mac,Moore, Miles. Gotta go with one of the M's...Mullen or Malzahn.
