Because if Miles is your new coach, he won't be near the QB he was under Rich Rod.

At the rate he was going, his career was going to be over.

The kid took a beating this yr. He had very little support(Bad RB play & too many dropped passes).

He was a first yr starter besides. Look for his decision making to get better next yr, besides his mechanics. Those 2 goal line interceptions vs Sparty, and the wide open TD would of won the game for us.

It wouldnt shock me for D-Rob to win the Heisman in 2012. What a heck of a kid.

BTW Rumor is Tate Forcier has dropped out of Michigan due to grades. I havent seen confirmation, but some folks on Rivals were talking about it(no official response from rival mods).

I would think that most Michigan fans realize the process is not going to be overnight and a guy like Denard Robinson is the least of their worries.

Word was Rich Rod attended our game today.

I really wish it would of worked out for him. The WVU fans tore him up the past 3 yrs something fierce(not like some of us didnt).

I was upset he got us our first major violation on the FB program ever. Once it was determined it was only probation, I was really starting to like him as our coach.

Hopefully he takes a few courses on defense, during his yr off, and has a long career. Nothing but good things to say about the guy.

I really think the powers that be should have given Rich Rod another year or two before they canned him. He was hired so late in the game that he really only had 2 recruiting years. The AD should have helped find the very best defensive staff they could find and fired this past seasons DC. We had to do that for Miles in 2008 because out D was just awful. If Rich Rod had gotten a good DC in there and another recruiting class or two, I think he would have kicked off on Ohio State, Michigan State, etc.

YOu have seen folks say our secondary had a ton of freshmen. That is bad enough, but both our starting corners were on IR as well.

I doubt anyone makes our D look "good" this yr, but under Greg Robinson they were showing no/little improvement.

Spart was loaded with Seniors this yr. Dant gets no more than 8 wins next season IMO. Our O was driving on OSU in first qtr. A young squad, that should of gotten better next season.

There is reason to think with a good DC, things could of started going better.

Then there is all the negative. It was like one nightmare after another since RR arrived. In a lot of ways it is nice to get a change of scenery.

RR is a damn great coach. The fit just didnt work out. If he goes on to win a BCSNC somewhere else someday it wont surprise me.

IMO he would be great in the B12....an offense first league.

*EDIT* Our O didnt do much against TUOS once D-Rob left game early.

I think Denard will stay and fit right in with the team. I think RR told him to ignore the politics, stay and play your heart out. Just my 2 cents.

Denard plays for the team and is a true blue Michigan Man.
