Rocket, you don't really think this is over, do you?
No. I'm like Chicken, I won't think it's over until someone not named Les Miles is their coach and is announced at a press conference.
There has been massive support for Les and even players calling out Lloyd Carr in the press.
The longer they go without a coach and the longer they stay quiet, the more worried I get.
The buyout is still the same in his contract. All he has to do is worry/care about the PR nightmare he'd receive if he left.

This is what scares me. They just about doubled his salary....they should have doubled the buyout to Michigan.

A scenario I could see unfolding is, Michigan continues to interview puppets like Schiano up until the MNC. LSU loses to Ohio State, and when the LSU fanbase turns on Les, Michigan snatches him up. Realistically, I think that's the only way he will go.

Miles Maniacs need to come together for emotional support and prayer in this time.

College Kids? hahaha, I wish.
Pete Maravich was one year ahead of me.
Actually, I remember my parents taking me on the train from New Orleans to the LSU games - which was a long time ago - lots of fun. I remember guys would get so drunk on the train ride up they would miss the game, passed out on the train. Season tickets (in the family) since 1956.

ESPN changed their spin last night to "Schiano withdraw his name from consideration" instead of "he turned down the offer". Sounds like spin control to me.
If Michigan (and his friends up there) exert enough pressure, he goes either way. If they don't announce someone in the next week or two, we are in big trouble! Imagine if he beats OSU. I have a big client in Columbus (huge OSU donors) and it's a rivarly at least as bad as Auburn/Alabama.

Don't pay those rude asses no mind. Stick with folks like me and FredSecunda and you'll be okay.
I feel safe in speaking on Chicken's behalf without his knowledge and approval, and say we're glad to have you.

Do you think it's something that has been planned or would just workout that way?

Egg, what's your gut feeling on all this? My gut is that Miles is staying, but I just don't know.

What's the Michigan equivalent to TigerDroppings? I need to get a name on there.

Fred I hope you are wrong....for Michigan's sake. This has turned into something nasty here. One group wants to live in the past, the other wants to take the past and move into the now.
Miles could probably fix things....if not perhaps Trgovac(however ya spell it) could. If Michigan passes the ball to a Carr crony, it will be a signal that we are content with not being in the upper echelon of CFB.
The repercussions of that drop will be felt severely...I pray it doesnt happen.

I'm not Egg, but Miles could end this right now. All he has to say is "I am taking my name out of consideration for the Michigan job". Perhaps he has said that already, but I've not heard it. Go back and read what he said before he took the LSU job - eerily similiar comments.

Thanks Fred...
But alas 25 yrs of it and taking steroids put me out of work 6 yrs ago. I do better now cause of Remicade treatments(IV in arm every other month at hospital for 2 hrs), but will never be able to hold a job again.
My wife is dairy manager at local Krogers. We arent rich, but we get by and our girls go to good schools. There are folks got it a lot worse than us....like those that went thru Katrina.
