I'm going to feel a little uneasy about this until Michigan actually hires someone other than Miles.

Anyone who says they aren't nervous is either lying or naive

For what it's worth, there is a lot of talk still today on UM's boards about Les being their coach. I'm trying to figure out who the reputable posters are over there. Alot of them are very optimistic.

He's the exact poster I had in my mind when typing that. Alot of other posters seem to acknowledge that he knows what he's talking about.

section 6 is supposedly a very big insider as well, but has blasted jlake's posts over and over.

6 is not on the miles bandwagon, and has made that evident from the very start.

the cryptic messages from CB regarding miles lead me to believe that someone somewhere is rubbing sticks together hoping to get a fire started...

If Les were to bail after the championship game, we'd be screwed.

I'm doing fine.

On one of the boards, they were saying some 'insider' from LSU was on there talking about "Miles to Michigan, Del Rio to LSU" already being a done deal. Supposedly, this insider was spouting off stuff not many people would know.

Take it for what it's worth. The longer this goes on at Michigan, the worse it's going to be. My fear is at some point they tell Miles - "Les, Michigan needs you". That would not, in my opinion, bode well.

I'll just get more nervous the longer they go without a coach.

There is a possibility(albeit unlikely) that Les coaches the BCS title game and then heads to Michigan. He and probably Michigan would face a PR nightmare for a long time and then we'd be screwed looking for a coach.

I've been concerned with that from the beginning. No one is going to leave with the opportunity to coach the BCS Champ. game. It's icing on the cake that it is OSU.

That bad timing comment he made when Carr retired means something. Why would he care about timing if he was not seriously thinking of taking that job?

I don't believe the 'he was never going to Michigan' business that's been spouted here - that damn timing comment is mighty revealing.

Because he knew the media would start to hound him & in the process distract his team. I believe our team lost to Kentucky after the LLoyd announcement. Am I wrong?

I agree. He was supposedly going to announce he was staying after the SEC title game, but I don't know about that. Had ESPN not reported what they did, had we not won, and if Les doesn't say anything about staying before or after the game and Michigan made the offer early this week, he'd be in Michigan, I think.

I don't either. In fact, since we're going to the BCS title game, it just makes them restrategize how they are going to handle this for a month if they offer and he accepts. And they're going to need to have an answer soon, so they can go after other candidates if he says no.

From what I read, UM's President inserted her authority in some capacity yesterday or the day before. I'm just trying to find out in what manner she did so.

Kentucky game was in October, Carr retired in November - right before the Arkansas game.
