Miles & Pelini Rumors: Distraction or Not?

Just wondering what everyone else thinks:
I can't shake the thought that the rumors about Miles and Pelini possibly leaving did take a toll on the morale of the team the last few weeks. The Pelini rumors have been going on for quite some time now and the Miles ones for have been bubbling at one level or another since Michigan lost to App State.
It seems that as the rumors have increased in recent weeks, the sharpness of the team has decreased.

No question a distraction........but IMO it should not be used as an excuse for why we lost.

Hells yes it was a huge distraction, but injuries too, short week DAMN friday game, senior day 7 for 22 first half didn't help Deer season I can come up with excuses all day.
