I am pretty sure he has been an excellent OC for awhile

He is also just 6 years removed from being a head coach, in high school.

THe closest guarantee is Saban and that name has not come up. He was in with the 2007 MI situation and in if Miles lost another game in 2006 after the FL game.

Saban had Sexton contact LSU. He wanted back in bad.
Miles lost to AU and then FL. Talk was if Miles blew another game, Saban was back.

Miles runs the table and destroys ND in the Sugar.

Rest is history.

Was there any legit talk of an NFL guy, or was that just all nonsense...? (I'm talking about right now)

None were mentioned

Once again, Miles may be staying. Sounds like a 50/50 - he better get the great vibes and love for MI to take him.

LSU fans were packing Pelini's bags as a coordinator in 2007. I'd be very disappointed if this is true.

Based on the current situation, if Miles goes, it looks like Pelini.

I figured Pelini was most likely all along, they make calls to the hot names but we'd end up with Bo in the end.

all I can say is IF Saban really wanted back in then he would still entertain the discussion now.

I still don't buy that living is Tuscaloosa is his life dream come true-

This situation is like driving a caddy with a hot blonde at your side while lighting your cigars with $100 bills. Then your old girl friend comes along. Here new boyfriend beat her. She's been using meth and has rotten front teeth. Her daddy tries to patch up the old relationship. What should you do?

I don't really want Bo back, he wasn't really known as a recruiter, was he?

My biggest concern with Pelini is that we would loose a serveral good coaches, specifically Ron Cooper and Frank Wilson.

Paulu, you think he'd keep a large portion of the current coaching staff around?

got to agree..losing Cooper and/or Wilson would be disastrous to the LSU football program..these 2 are BIG time recruiters for LSU.....keeping my fingers crossed we dont lose either one if a coaching change does happen..to be continued..

I agree man. I really like our coaching staff except for Crowton. It's not just a matter of replacing Miles with another coach, you would more than likely have to replace a lot of the staff. Losing Wilson, Cooper, Gonzo, etc. would be pretty big IMO.

What about the guys who donate six figures, but don't let them borrow any planes? I heard they want Gruden.
