56-0 early in the 3rd quarter with a Championship Game coming next week. I’m not sure who is going to be kicking the tires on Norvell at this point, but he has this Memphis team at the highest level in program history.

It’s one thing to not look ahead and take care of business. It’s another to come out and score on every possession but a halftime kneel-down and basically play a perfect game in a classic let down spot. This performance says a lot about him as a coach, in my opinion. Some lucky P5 program is going to get a hell of a coach in this guy.

Apparently he's off the board for Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. Something fishy abut him despite his talent if that's true

He’s not handing out bags of cash to recruits at Memphis. Boosters here have been saying he will stay at Memphis another year, but I just assumed that was typical homer-talk.

He's always been my #3 behind Frost and Kelly, but it's a big drop off from Kelly.

He can recruit well to Memphis which is a plus

He is the only coach to ever do that at Memphis. Even Fuente lived on mostly 1 and 2 star guys and coached them up. When you consider that Tennessee has never been a huge recruiting ground and that Memphis is surrounded by half the SEC West, it has always been considered impossible.

Norvell has been recruited far beyond the program’s reputation and cash flow. You don’t do that unless you have that something. That should translate upward with the right staff hires.

He is expected to sign an extension with Memphis.

Apparently during the background check something was uncovered and scared the P5 schools off - we shall see.
