I am starting to love the Detroit Free press. Whenever a coach turns down Michigan they start bashing him. Whoever runs the sports section should be fired. That isnt journalism it is a joke.

Actually it's not. He made about $38,000.00 in his highest paid year. He wouldn't allow the University to pay him more than the lowest paid teacher on campus. He said a football coach should never make more than a teacher. His money came from private sources but never from the University.

Actually we have always been cheap ntil this year. We finally stepped up to the plate. We traditionally have always had a very low paid coach compared to other big D-1 programs. There were several other SEC schools that were always higher than us, LSU being one of those.

I offered some suggestions last week for how Michigan could improve its search.
The more I think about it, Martin should up the free weekend at Six Flags to 5 days/4 nights in Orlando. At the rate they're going though, the 125% home financing is really going to be the deal kicker for the JuCo league coach UM is on track to get.
