Could be the next Kirby Smart! No HC experience but a young high level DC who’s known as a great recruiter as well

Yes I know, us tiger fans only want what’s obviously good not what could potentially be great. But other than lack of HC experience. What’s the issue?

That's kind of an important thing.
He may turn out to be be a good HC somewhere (if that's what he wants to do) but let him do it at some school to get his HC experience and figure out what sort of program he wants to run.
I don't want anyone with no HC experience coming to LSU and try to figure it out as he goes.

If you think it wasn't important for UGA, I don't know what to tell you. It's not like they just said, "Well, I guess let's hire this guy?
" All I'm saying is I don't think it would be beneficial to let him figure out how to be a HC (if he's even interested in that) at LSU.

This isn't true either.
Everyone knows Saban runs his defense. But he has to have a DC.
I think Kirby did what Saban wanted and proved his value which is why UGA hired him. That sure looks like it was a good hire.
Look at Pruitt. Did he do the same? Maybe as a DC but he was mediocre at best as a HC.
He got canned at Tennessee and I'll be surprised if he gets a HCing job in the SEC again.
