Money seems to be the issue. Less of it at NMU!

But more than he will get if he puts LM in a corner forcing him to be fired. Somebody needs to remind him he will get ALOT less in the unemployment line.

He would be stupid not to. Unless of course, that Miles has offered him the DB coaching position, with the Chavis and O scenario.

I think he is a decent DB coach but i think he has lost the respect of the players and a whole new defensive staff will be put in. Havent really seen that many names for DB coach as has been the case with the Dline and LB other than promoting raymond or Charles Kelly from Ga tech if robinson leaves. Also, locksley said he wouldnt announce his entire staff until it was complete, i think maybe that is why no formal announcement.

Who are these "many" you speak of?

ok not "many" but names have been put out there
Dline: O, Brick Haley, Jimmy Brumbaugh
LB: Willis or possibly chavis if he coaches a position.

I don't think that's it. New Mexico has said that they won't announce anything about the new coaching staff until everyone is in place, which will probably not be until after Christmas.

"New Mexico athletic department spokesman Greg Remington did not deny or confirm Mallory's move to New Mexico.

"We'll announce our staff once it's complete," Remington said Wednesday morning. "That will be after Christmas."

Was B.D.P. leaked by northwestern or l.s.u.?

This could be the answer to the question. L.S.U. isn't saying anything. Once the opposite side comes forward then l.s.u. will confirm or deny.

i think most of the changes will occur during the dead period for recruiting purposes.

The dead period started today. This week and next week will be hot concerning coaching movement.

I don't know anything regarding the contract, but I am told he is leaving for New Mexico. I'm confident in my source since they are affected on a personal level with Mallory leaving.

I was also told that Les was trying to convince Mallory to stay on as a position coach, but the public criticism of the defense made it too hard for Mallory to want to come back. On a side note, apparently Mallory was not really interested in becoming part of the Co-DCs after the 2007 season.

If thats true, and im not doubting you, Les didn't do him any favors... it certainly did not help his resume, thats for sure.
