I assume that this was supposed to read "more than bama." I also think the amount of money that Texas can pay more than Alabama is overblown. It is true that Texas has much deeper pockets than Alabama; but the context of the situation makes it mostly irrelevant. There isn't a number that Texas could reasonably offer Saban that Alabama couldn't afford. At least none of the numbers mentioned at this point are numbers that Alabama couldn't come up with. Of course, Texas could probably afford to pay Saban $50 mill a year and that would be a number Alabama couldn't get to; but it also isn't reasonable; and Texas wouldn't offer it.

Texas's wealth is an order of magnitude larger than Bama's. There's no comparison.
However, even the highest coaches salary ever is easily affordable by either school
