Things still seem to be on track as far as Mack leaving.. apparently Bellmont wanted to control the narrative, when Chip leaked shite...it got out of their control (which is frowned upon). They then leaked even more information deflecting from Nick Saban coming to Texas cause that would slow down the talk without explicitly saying Mack is leaving. The only issue with their timeline is Mack wanting it to look good on his part, hence waiting til after the banquet and dead period. It didn't matter whether they met tonight or tomorrow, cause both sides already know whats going to happen.

For the people wondering about the Saban's grandchild, it is a girl due December 28th.
Nicholas and his wife Kelse both graduated from Alabama and she works for the Tuscaloosa Habitat for Humanity.

I think this is pretty clear. The slow roll of getting this done has seemed like longer than normal, but most high profile coaching exits seem to go like this - Bobby Bowden's was somewhat similar.
I have to admit, I liked the sudden certainty of the Lane Kiffin fire - but, let's be honest, Lane Kiffin isn't gum stuck to Mack Brown's shoes - in the grand scheme of things.
However, if it's over, it needs to be over. Whoever it is that Texas wants, they should get on with it.
And there is no question they want Saban.
