So, if you are keeping score, the problems with Chow came to a head when Neuheisel wanted to change to a pistol offense this season.

I'd wondered whose idea that was

youtubed both offenses from the 2010 season.

Nussmeiers offense is waaayyy better for the personnel we have. very diverse and pro style

Tcu seems to run more of a shotgun/spread offense.

my vote Nussmeier

Justin Fuente would be the best choice out of those two. I have see him speak at some offensive clinics and he is very bright and would do a great job with all the talent we have.

Good start

I'm pretty sure this isn't on the first page or two of his list of criteria for a new OC.

Does anyone know how much power Fuente has at TCU? I always get nervous hearing a CO-OC. Is it his offense or the other guy? I'm guessing Fuente has a lot of Texas ties too, which LSU desperately needs in recruiting.

That would be one thing that would be nice from this hire. It might be asking too much, but Texas recruiting ties would be a big plus.

Justin Fuente is the architect of what TCU does offensively and he calls the plays 100% of the time.

It shouldn't be asking too much. Porter recruited Texas pretty good and it is a big part of our success. It is easy to recruit too because it is so big/plentiful and close. Not to mention Texas sucks right now and we couldn't even take advantage of that with their recruits because we have no ties on the staff. Gonzo hasn't exactly dented Florida since he came here either. We really need to get back in Texas where we have success.

Then why does he have a CO-OC title, just curious?

LSU: Our sources tell us Les Miles has interest in TCU co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Justin Fuente and Washington offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier.

So what does this mean for Gonzo? Was/is he even a consideration? Has he had any input into the offensive scheme since being here?

Only thing is now Jefferson will have to pretend to learn a whole new system. His head might explode.

Titles the majority of the time in college football like Co OC & C DC are designed and run by one person while the other person gets a pay upgrade and gets to be more involved in the offense or defense than a normal position coach. I know this is the case at TCU because I have spent time with Fuente and all the offensive coaches there.
