LSU fans have a trust problem

Like getting screwed over by a woman though, at some point you have to get back on the horse and take people at their word, learning to trust again, or you will never have any peace. Les has never given anyone a reason not to trust him at his word. Matter of fact, he is about as consistent as anyone can expect another human being to be, and is well known for his committment to people, especially his own players, almost to a fault.
If LSU fans will simply let this stuff die down, and come to Les' defense, and trust the man that what he said is what he will do, then a bunch of all this BS going on in the media, especially regionally, will settle down. However, I think in many respects, we are our own worst enemy.

I've heard plenty of "talk" from the Oklahoma state crowd claiming "it's the same situation"....
Haven't seen any proof!
Did Miles engage in some "coach speak" before leaving OS...Yes, it's a necessary evil of the profession they are in.
Show me where he made any "definitive" statements while at OS that compare to what he has issued concerning staying at LSU.
You can't...because he didn't!

Who benifits from all of this Les controversy?
Does Les benefit? Surely not.
Does LSU benefit? uhhhh NOPE, not while trying to stay focused on the Freaking National Championship Game of all things, and not with recruits either, not by a long shot.
Do LSU FANS benefit? I guess if you are bored and have nothing to talk about in this CFB lull right now, but other than that, if you are a fan of LSU, and want what's best for LSU, then hell no it doesn't benefit us. Matter of fact, it hurts us badly.
Does OSU benefit? Yes, I would have to say they do, because it is clearly a distraction for LSU
Does Michigan benefit? Yes, as it keeps his name out there, and their name out in the lime light as well getting all the exposure.
Do other SEC Teams benefit? Yep, sure do. What more could you ask on the recruiting trail than to throw doubt and confusion into a kid's mind regarding the best team in the SEC right now than to bring up the whole Les Mile to Michigan thingy?
Does ESPN benefit? Yes, and nobody more so than ESPN. Clearly, with not much to talk about, having a soap opera, or rather creating a soap opera to talk about during this lull only benefits them. Matter of fact, we should all be glad this isn't a kidnapping or missing persons or MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN would have "BREAKING NEWS" updates and hour long specials on it every hour on the hour.

I find it amazing that while ESPN analysists like Pat Forde rip Petrino in public, and people like Bob Griese rightfully call for coaching standards (Shuffle) to change, that same ESPN media likes to stir the pot where there is a man of his word, Les Miles
Win lose or draw on Jan 7th, I'm happy LSU has a coach who has integrity and lives by his word. It's a welcome change and could be a difference maker in recruiting in the SEC west the next 2-4 years.
