Lsu fans getting a bad rap on possible coaching change

Didn't all the media a very short time ago call Les Miles an idiot and the worst time management coach in history. Now they are blaming CLM talking with Michigan on the fans of LSU and how they did not appreciate his skills-geez-You cannot blame the man for wanting his dream job. Either way LSU will be fine.

Don't worry LSU fans, Michigan fans are getting the same thing from everyone as well. Yes, there's a little bit of truth to both claims of the fan bases, but still I don't think the claims are as outlandish as many make it seem.

Fans went justifiably nuts when LSU blundered the end of the Ole Miss, PSU, and Tenn games over the span of less than a year
Now a lot of the discussion about "anybody could have done what Miles did" from 05-07 was pretty fricking unfair

That's not why you are called rabid, delusional or too critical. You are called those things because expecting consecutive championships and 10+ win seasons in the toughest conference in college football is at best "too critical" and at worst "delusional."
As for rabid, I think most LSU fans are rabid.

I've asked the question before on other threads, but what is the appropriate way of showing displeasure/disapproval of coaching decisions or are fans simply not allowed to do so?
I tried calling Les' house, parking at the curb and showing up at the Athletic Building, none of those worked.

the media, however, never makes a mistake, never. once their words fade out, they credit themselves later with anything they said that came true and the other stuff didn't happen (even with a record of it). just like a boss i had one time. he was always right, always took credit for my ideas and always took his bad shots over on the golf course and always won money from me because of his cheating. the bastard.

You do this without calling for him to be fired, questioning his intelligence and frothing at the mouth over a mistake. You can try to place your criticism in the proper context and think about the long haul, taking into account the previous victories and national title the man won for this school.
Maybe start there. Although, it's looking more and more like we'll have to start over again with a new coach.

If you watched many LSU games, you know damned well that's not what fans were complaining about. The complaints were there for victories in which the team played poorly and or the coaching was suspect.

Since fans always have a deeper insight to the situation inside of any team, they should have final say-so in any coach's decisions. There should be web site where LSU fans could pick the lineups and during he game call the plays. They could vote between plays on what the next play should be, like picking a singer on American Idol. Everyboy gets a keypad and keys in the next play. It could work better than having a coach because fans are so much smarter.

I believe I understand your point, but in practice it would seem that there is no place for public criticism.
I'm very thankful for the success over the past decade+ and have sat through periods that were so bad that there was not a way to isolate a particular play call or mishap to complain about. I tend to agree with the idea of not accepting mediocrity just because we've had recent success. Won't be happy to see Miles leave because his goofiness is rather indearing. Won't be crushed either and will wish him well.
