Since Herman is a member of Mensa Im going to assume hes a smart man and thus recognizes what the rest of us idiots sees is so obviously a really dysfunctional UTw program and stays FAAAR the frick away.

If he doesnt...

Then he was an idiot all along and Im glad LSU didnt get him.

First of all whoever gets the Texas job will have lots of issues but talent won't be one. Strong has recruited well and they have like 18-20 returning starters and/or contributers. And to the fedora haters u should look closer at his situation at unc before u dog him. He inherited a mess with sanctions. He's won more than anyone else who's coached there in recent history and set records. He's recruited pretty well considering they are coming off sanctions and get plundered by USC Clemson and Florida schools. Considering that they aren't known power in football to be around the top 25 recruiting imo that's solid work. He's good at developing qbs and a good offensive mind. One could argue he's a better hire than Herman at least on paper. He's also familiar with our region of recruiting.

I agree. I think Fedora would be a good hire. Not a great hire, but a good one. LSU fans just think that we're only allowed to hire the hottest coach in the country or nobody. We are hiring a new coach this year. It won't be Orgeron and Jimbo and Herman could very easily turn us down. Fedora is the next best man in my opinion. Could end up being better. For him to be in the top 25 almost every year with recruiting in the 20-30 range then he can coach. The ACC isn't a cupcake conference. Plus, he has ties to southern recruiting. If he kept Aranda I think he could really help LSU turn into a contender again.

And I am waiting for a direct quote from Herman saying it's his dream job.

Bingo. Herman has said absolutely nothing about Texas whatsoever. How do people even know this is even his dream job? People that think this are complete idiots just talking out of their asses.

He would be a great fit at LSU.

That article reads like CNN on election night. Totally biased.

Texas couldn't get who they wanted when they took Strong. That's because everyone knows that program has some major problems.

The only thing wrong with our program is that the football team sucks on the field. It sucks worse now than it ever has in over a century of football. Strong was given all of the resources he needed to bring stellar classes, and he did. He just can't win on game day. If he had, he would be embraced, as he was after the Notre Dame win, before we realized the Irish sucked. There is no systemic problem at Texas outside of Strong. We had one prominent booster who didn't like the hire, and he was proven to be 100% right.

I mean it would make sense, but quoting a Longhorn site just doesn't do much for factual evidence. I do think he is Texas' to lose.

If the money is the same why in the Hell would he take the UT Dumpster Fire job? At LSU you only have one idiot boss to deal with at UT it's 50.

Texas media is claiming Texas is their top candidates dream job?

I have "sources" close to Herman too and they tell me that LSU is his dream job and that he isn't deterred by the handling of Les Miles firing.
