"I withdraw my name from consideration for the Michigan job."
Without them an announcement of an extension means next to nothing, unless it is accompanied by a sentence stating that the buyout has been increased to over $5mil.
This could simply be a way for Miles and Skip to try to refocus the team.
Contract extensions mean next to nothing for the coach if the buyout does not change. Only thing a contract extension does is hurt the university if they want to fire the coach.

That's what I'm thinking it could be too...with him saying things like...
"I haven't spoken to Michigan yet."
"I'm only focusing on the game right now."
"I don't know where these rumors came from."
I hope he just tells us one way or another. I'm sick of rumors and coach speak.
