Paul Chryst is going to get Vermeiled to install Leonhard before he jumps to a HC job somewhere else. Leonhard isn't going DC somewhere.

It would be a left-field hire since he’s a west coast guy, but Jimmy Lake is not looking too good as a head coach at UW. He may not be shown the door until next year, but they aren’t going to put up with .500 and losing seasons very long there.
He was a great DC for a long time and was a solid recruiter in that role. If he is let go after this season, he would definitely deserve a look.

He’s pretty involved but Lanning runs that defense. Same as Kirby when he was with Bama.
