if i was leach's lawyer i would have a field day with this situation.

this is the same place who hired bobby knight after years of abuse on his players and college staff. kinght left red marks on a kids neck, gets fired by iu and teaxs tech HIRED him.

i don't agree with what leach did, but this was not something to fire a coach for, at least if this is the whole story

and the way espn has spun this story is such crap. james works for them, so all the crew are his boys and you can tell it

oh by the way bobby knight now works for espn. such a double standard

Craig James says "we are still the victims here." Victim of what? A little hazing by the Coach? For crying out loud, his spoiled brat son should have never been there in the first place.

TT Athletic Director and Chancellor are hypocritical, bush league administrators. Hire Bobby Knight, fire Mike Leach.

TT cheated Leach out of his money and defamed him as they threw him out the door. I hope Leach takes them to the cleaners.

TT was nuthin' before Leach and they will be nuthin' now that Leach is gone.

I think the only reason TT reacted was because of Craig James and I think they will live to regret it. Leach will not roll over and take this lying down. This man is an attorney as well as a coach. From some of the comments about James by his team members, you would feel they support the coach. This will be played out in a court of law before it's over. Just this note from a medical article on Treatment of Concussions: (1) Remain in a dimly lit, quiet environment as much as possible. Both bright lights and noise, even moderate noise can irritate post-concussion syndrome and worsen a victims headaches. All the facts in this case aren't known and I don't think Leach is going down without a fight.Google E-mails in support of Mike Leach and read what coaches and players say about Adam James.

agreed; they're being accurate in their reporting at all. cnnsi is covering the story much more fairly. espn got quotes from apparently baby james' only two friends on the team and are running them nonstop.

Leach had issues with the TTU administration last year....

I think this would have been less severe for him had he been willing to work with TTU AD and Admin....

basically, he pissed off the folks who kept him fed too many times....

I have this theory---That if no one played a football game for twenty years something new would be found and no one would play football at all.

Make that ten years.

he said, she said bull shite only helps leachs' case. i agree that TT should negotiate a settlement right away. if leach has any sense, he will allow them to "save face" somewhat, pocket the millions of dollars and go look for another job. maybe something like "ok, i used some bad judgement here but i didn't hurt the kid; i'm sorry if the james family took his punisment the wrong way and i promise to do better next time" kinda thing.
